Dur to the current situation we took the decision to postpone the meeting to next year.

The 11th International Meeting on AMPK 2020 (AMP-activated protein kinase) is the eleventh edition of the very successful conference initiated by Neil Ruderman (Boston University) in 2000.
This biennium event aims at bringing together international researchers specialized in the metabolic sensor AMPK in fundamental, biomedical and applied research.
The meeting serves as a platform to promote data exchange and foster scientific interactions and links the academic and industrial communities.

2020年 AMPK 第11次国际会议(AMP活化蛋白激酶)是2000年由 Neil Ruderman (波士顿大学)发起的非常成功的会议的第11次会议。本次两年期活动旨在汇集基础、生物医学和应用研究领域的代谢传感器 AMPK 专业国际研究人员。这次会议是促进数据交流和促进科学互动以及将学术界和工业界联系起来的一个平台。

AMPK (AMP-activated protein kinase), a well-conserved serine-threonine kinase in eukaryotes cells, plays a primary role in the control of cell and tissue homeostasis. The AMPK is composed of an heterotrimeric complex acting as a cell metabolic sensor whose activation in an energetic stress condition contribute to restore the cell energetic balance. It maintains metabolic homeostasis by slowing anabolic pathways and stimulating catabolic pathways.
AMPK is involved in major cellular functions such as the regulation of the energy metabolism, protein synthesis, proliferation and differentiation, autophagy and apoptosis. Moreover, AMPK acts at the organism level as a regulator of tissue homeostasis, metabolism and blood sugar level. As such AMPK is a primary therapeutic target in the cure of metabolic syndromes including Type-2 diabetes.
Furthermore, AMPK stimulation or inhibition is suggested as a therapeutic path in diseases like cancers, neuromuscular or neurodegenerative conditions.
